First Focus on Independence patient

If you are interested in receiving vision correction surgery through Focus on Independence, please be sure you fit the following criteria:

  • You are a quadriplegic as the result of a traumatic spinal cord injury.
  • It is difficult or impossible to put on or remove glasses and/or contact lenses without assistance.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • You must be at least one year post-injury.
  • Eligibility for program does not guarantee we can find a surgeon to perform the surgery.
  • The final decision on whether you qualify is up to your participating surgeon..
